Sasjkia’s Track Record

I have a long track record of delivering real change in areas that matter - from fair work and financial security to ensuring access to high quality technologies to the future of healthcare.

  • How fair work can improve financial security in work and retirement

This has been a key theme in my recent work and I spoke on a panel at the Fabian Society New Year Conference focusing on fair work and lifelong financial security.

  • Manifesto for the self-employed and small businesses

Developed policy proposals to improve working conditions, financial security, and business support for the self-employed and microbusinesses.

  • Strategy on addressing poverty in over-60s

A quarter of people aged 60 to 65 live in poverty – the highest poverty rate for any adult age group. I researched the roots of the problem and presented a strategy to address it.

  • Improving work-life balance

Researched the impact of poor work life balance on wellbeing and productivity, looking at what the UK can learn from Germany to improve outcomes for our country.

  • Technology partnership with the White House

I led a team that set up a technology partnership with the White House, culminating in a Biden executive order ahead of an AI summit. I’m keen to promote new technologies while ensuring people fully understand their risks and limitations.

  • Leading teams to deliver ultrafast broadband

As head of future fibre policy and head of telecoms competition (access) regulation, I led delivery of ultrafast broadband.

  • Strategy on the future of healthcare

Worked with patient advocacy groups and experts in the United States and the European Union to examine how today’s healthcare trends may impact tomorrow’s approach to HIV care and management.

  • Delivering growth in the UK

Chaired panel at the Fabian Society New Year Conference on delivering growth in the UK.

  • Co-creating the future with the public

Vision Lead for DCMS’ National Data Strategy 2030 Vision, travelling the country to learn how people from all walks of life want to live in 2030.
